Selected Summary (Part 2) | Multiple high-quality medical assets showcased, and MeritsIP sincerely invites cooperation and matchmaking!
– Introduction –
This article continues to summarize some of the previously publicly disclosed high-quality medical asset projects, covering six major categories of full-track technology platforms: AI pharmaceuticals, IVD diagnostics, RNA delivery, small molecule innovative drugs, CGT industrialization, and medical devices, each category including multiple high-quality medical assets. All assets feature clear technological differentiation, complete patent layout, and commercialization paths, fully adapting to enterprise pipeline expansion, BD licensing, project mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence needs for investment and financing.
(4) Small molecule innovative drug platform direction:
4.1 Innovative drug _Pan-RAS (ON) molecular gel small molecule platform
The project focuses on RAS mutation-driven solid tumors, with its core asset being a Pan-RAS(ON) molecular gel small molecule inhibitor targeting various RAS-driven tumors and drug-resistant scenarios. Compared to existing RAS inhibitory pathways that mainly target single mutation sites or OFF states, this project directly targets the higher proportion of RAS(ON) active states in tumor cells, offering broader coverage and room to extend the treatment of multiple mutations and multiple resistance mechanisms. The pipeline is positioned for solid tumors, with potential for combination with PRMT5, MAT2A, and PD-1 regimens, with indications covering highly unmet areas such as pancreatic cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. The project is currently in the pre- and post-clinical transition phase after IND approval, with the core focus being the dosage and efficacy advantages demonstrated by similar controls. Existing CDX model data show that candidate molecules in KRAS G12D/G12V-associated pancreatic and colorectal cancer models can achieve considerable tumor suppression at about one-third to one-eighth of RMC-6236 at dose levels, and tumor shrinkage trends have been observed at 3 mg/kg doses, with no significant weight changes observed at therapeutic doses. In terms of pharmacodynamics, the project demonstrated more linear and predictable exposure relationships in rats and Beagles, which is beneficial for subsequent dose management and clinical development; In terms of tissue distribution, skin and intestinal exposure were lower than those of control molecules, and it is expected to improve common tolerance issues such as rash and diarrhea in the future.
The platform has also simultaneously derived molecules with ADC payload potential, with some candidates further improving cell activity and exposure performance compared to controls, providing room for subsequent external collaborations and product portfolio expansion. Founded in 2021, the company has established a complete small molecule R&D system from discovery to clinical practice, currently has 4 clinical-stage projects and 6 preclinical projects, and has assets authorized externally. This project already has clear mechanism positioning, peer control advantages, and potential for combined development, making it an RAS innovative drug asset that combines single-product advancement value with platform expansion potential.
4.2 Multi-scenario Transformation Platform for Innovative Drugs_Fullerene
This project uses fullerene as its core underlying technology platform and has established a relatively complete system covering high-purity raw material preparation, purification and separation, quality control, formulation development, pharmacological research, and application transformation. Unlike single-pipeline companies, its value lies not only in a single R&D asset, but also in having underlying material capabilities, innovative drug development potential, and a foundation for multi-scenario industrial extension, enabling synergistic layouts in pharmaceuticals, new materials, and consumer health. The project has established efficient and stable fullerene synthesis and purification capabilities, has a foundation for high-purity mass production, and has been extended into pharmaceutical raw material and formulation development, as well as preclinical research. On one hand, this platform provides foundational support for innovative drug R&D, and on the other hand, it enables it to enter application scenarios such as new photovoltaic materials and functional consumer products. Compared to projects that rely solely on a single R&D node, this “underlying platform + diversified applications” structure offers greater continuity in terms of technical barriers, application extension, and subsequent commercial acceptance. In the pharmaceutical field, the project focuses on the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and multi-target regulatory mechanisms of fullerene, laying out multiple innovative drug pipelines for major diseases, covering areas such as supportive oncology care, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases. Its development logic is not limited to a single indication but extends to multiple high-clinical scenarios based on common mechanisms of action, demonstrating strong platform reusability. Currently, leading assets have entered the clinical application and clinical preparation stages, and the project overall shows a dual-track advancement pattern of “underlying technology platform + key clinical assets.” Besides innovative drugs, the project already has a preliminary foundation for industrial application. Fullerene materials have entered the evaluation and application systems of leading perovskite industry chain enterprises, and have made positive progress in performance validation and commercial cooperation; At the same time, related consumer goods and cosmetics sectors have also formed a certain market acceptance capacity. Thus, Aim is not a typical R&D company relying solely on long-term clinical deliveries, but rather has established certain real-world business interfaces and industrialization support beyond R&D advancement.
4.3 Innovative Drug: Oxygen-Carrier Artificial Blood Acute Ischemic Treatment Platform
Ischemic myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction are the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, with over 15 million people dying worldwide in 2019 alone. Currently, the gold standard in clinical practice is thrombolysis and percutaneous coronary intervention, but both are limited by strict time windows, and severe ischemia-reperfusion injury often accompanies reperfusion after reperfusion. A large number of patients experience irreversible necrosis of myocardium or brain tissue due to the inability to restore oxygen supply to ischemic areas in time. Current therapies fall far short of the urgent clinical need for fast, safe, and thrombotic oxygen delivery emergency methods. The project focuses on the unmet emergency needs of acute ischemic myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction, the leading causes of death worldwide, with the core asset being a novel oxygen-carrying artificial blood—the hemoglobin oxygen carrier. The product molecule is only about 1/250 the size of a red blood cell, capable of penetrating thrombi directly to the microcirculation downstream of the infarct site, providing critical oxygen support to dying tissue, thereby extending the emergency window and reducing ischemia-reperfusion injury. The technology stems from a deep understanding of 21st-century oxygen delivery mechanisms, and has established an intellectual property system covering engineered modification of hemoglobin, toxicity reduction, and formulation processes. The project has completed early proof-of-concept (proof of concept). The core technological breakthrough lies in solving the bottleneck of toxic side effects in traditional polymeric hemoglobin carriers—although early similar products completed Phase III clinical trials, issues such as elevated blood pressure, oxidative stress, and increased mortality caused by NO clearance effects were not approved. The team has mastered a new generation of technology pathways to reduce toxic side effects, possessing best-in-class development potential. Currently in the preclinical R&D stage, the goal is to initiate the first clinical trial in the second year after the initial round of financing. On the market side, over 15 million people die annually from myocardial and cerebral infarctions worldwide. Existing thrombolytic and interventional therapies are limited by strict time windows and cannot address reperfusion injuries, making the novel mechanism of oxygen-carrying emergency drugs a market demand that remains a pressing issue. Application scenarios cover pre-hospital emergency care, interventional bridging therapy, and prevention of postoperative ischemic complications, corresponding to a potential market size worth several billion dollars. The team consists of members from hemoglobin engineering, cardiovascular pharmacology, and industrialization, with core management experience from early-stage R&D to clinical stages. The funds from this round will be used for the construction of the R&D base, core team building, and preparation for IND applications; At the policy level, efforts are made to seek industrial guidance funds, laboratory support, and talent introduction support.
(5) CGT Cell and Gene Therapy Direction
5.1 Cell and Gene Therapy: Global Compliant Production and Commercialization Empowerment Platform
The project’s core asset is a contract research and manufacturing organization (CDMO) deeply focused on cell and gene therapy (CGT), dedicated to providing global CGT innovative drug companies with one-stop GMP production and submission support services covering plasmids, viral vectors, and cell therapy products. Unlike traditional CDMO’s capacity expansion logic, the project is driven by a dual engine of “CMC capability + commercialization ecosystem,” helping clients significantly shorten R&D cycles and reduce production costs while ensuring quality through underlying process innovation and global compliance systems. It is a crucial infrastructure for the CGT industry to move from laboratory to commercialization. Technical Barriers and Efficiency Advantages The project has established a significant technological gap on the CMC side. Its independently developed chromatography-free plasmid purification platform eliminates the most time-consuming chromatography steps, reducing process time by 50%, while increasing the superhelix ratio from the industry average of 89% to over 95%. In the viral vector field, process optimization has enabled the full-shell rate downstream of AAV to reach 90%-95%, significantly increasing the proportion of active ingredients. Additionally, the project possesses compliant, risk-free HEK293 cell banks for production, with clear sourcing and support for applications in China, the US, and Europe, and significantly reduces compliance risks and upfront financial pressure through an “ready-to-use GMP cell bank + installment payment” model. On the efficiency side, the production cycle from DNA to GMP-grade viral vector dosage and formulation filling is only 6 months, shortening the industry average by 3-9 months, directly helping customers seize clinical and commercialization opportunities. Customer Base and Commercialization Ecosystem The project has served many leading CGT companies both domestically and internationally, with clients covering cutting-edge areas such as gene therapy, CAR-T, stem cells, and exosomes, forming a full-chain service capability from raw material supply to commercial production. Relying on strong market promotion and ecosystem building capabilities, the project deeply binds upstream and downstream partners, creating a collaborative network of “technology + supply chain + channel.” This ecological advantage not only ensures stable order inflows but also enables channel reuse to continuously acquire new customers and penetrate new indications, with customer stickiness and order conversion rates leading the industry. Cash flow characteristics and profitability quality Cost structure optimization driven by technical processes—including improved yield, reduced scrap batches, one-time compliant clearance to avoid process change rework—the project achieves industry-leading gross margin levels while maintaining high-quality delivery. As the existing customer pipeline advances to the commercialization stage, the project has entered a dual-tier revenue structure of “early R&D orders + commercial volume orders,” with larger orders per transaction and stronger sustainability during commercialization, providing the company with a clear and predictable cash flow growth path. At the same time, the dual-base layout between China and the US gives it capacity flexibility to handle global orders, further diversifying the risks of a single market. Market Opportunities The global CGT CDMO market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of over 24%, reaching over $30 billion by 2032. With China’s CGT industry accelerating overseas expansion and global supply chains pursuing compliance and efficiency, CDMO platforms with independent process innovation, global compliance capabilities, and mature customer ecosystems will become scarce assets. With proven technological advantages and a closed commercial loop, the project is positioned for industry integration and growth, making it a core target for next-generation CGT manufacturing infrastructure.
(6) Medical Devices and Sensing Technology Direction:
6.1 Sensor-controlled devices_Low-temperature sterilization platform for invasive devices
The project focuses on sensory control scenarios for invasive medical devices such as endoscopes. The core product is a fully automatic low-temperature cleaning sterilization device and supporting sterilization solution, forming a four-in-one technical pathway centered on ultrasound, ultraviolet, ozone, and patented sterilization solutions, covering the entire process of cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization. The product addresses pain points such as the complex structure of multiplexed endoscopes, low efficiency of traditional immersion processes, high risk of cross-infection, and high labor and consumable costs. Advanced disinfection can be completed in 13 minutes and complete sterilization in 30 minutes, meeting the FDA HLD requirement of over 99.9999%. The supporting sterilization solution has obtained import disinfection approval and passed EU EN14476 testing. The existing solution covers multiple usage scenarios such as hospital endoscopy centers, outpatient operating rooms, and primary medical institutions, with strong adaptability for in-hospital promotion. The project has completed FDA 510(k) testing, simulation testing of nine strains, and real-world hospital use tests, as well as testing and validation of enterovirus 71, influenza A, and various drug-resistant bacteria. Its intellectual property network covers the United States, Taiwan, and Chinese mainland. The business model adopts a “machine + consumables + pharmaceuticals” model, with terminal equipment priced at about 400,000 yuan. After installation, it can sustainably drive revenue from sterilization liquids and consumables, with a revenue structure combining single-use equipment sales and ongoing consumption. On the market side, the Chinese endoscope market is about 30 billion yuan, and the global endoscope market is about 300 billion yuan. With rising hospital infection control requirements, stricter supervision, and upgrades in low-grade hospitals, rapid low-temperature sterilization equipment has a clear entry point. The project has raised 40 million USD and currently plans to raise 100 million yuan as Series F operating capital, mainly for post-registration capacity building, global market expansion, product R&D, and after-sales system improvement, with a three-year plan to deploy 30,000 units.
All the above projects are open to diverse cooperation, sincerely inviting investment institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and industry platforms to connect and exchange!
